Our engineering services cover all the process related works that are required for the detailed planning and successful execution of a plant building project. We assume responsibility for the entire range of the process engineering tasks, from the concept development for the plant and the sizing of the components up to the creation of the functional design specifications and the operating manual.

Basic- and Detail-Engineering

The terms basic- and detail‑engineering refer to stages of the execution process of a plant building project from which, based on the process concept, the documents result that are required for the procurement of the components of the plant as well as for the creation of the plant control system. Part of the process engineering tasks during basic- and detail‑engineering are additionally the creation and maintenance of the piping and instrumentation diagram.

We take over all or, as required, selected parts of the process engineering works necessary for the successful execution of a plant building project and produce the documents resulting from the basic- and detail‑engineering featuring a coherent structure and seamlessly interconnecting content.

Concept Development

As part of the planning of a process plant, the concept development includes the creation and computational validation of a process concept as well as fundamental clarifications regarding the construction, operation, and maintenance of the future plant, taking into account the environmental conditions of the planned location as well as contractual and legal framework conditions. Based on this, the essential basic features of the plant are determined in terms of costs and space requirements. Part of the concept development are furthermore clarifications with suppliers to check the availability of the components required for the construction of the plant, as well as the creation of fundamental documents as a starting point for the subsequent process execution.

We develop a sound and sustainable process concept, verify the feasibility and the requirements for the implementation, and by that create a comprehensive and reliable foundation for the execution process.

Engineering Tools

The use of digital engineering tools for the planning and execution of a plant building project increases the efficiency, accelerates calculation processes and the creation of process simulations and simplifies the interaction between the parties involved in the execution process. Complex process simulations as well as the creation of a three‑dimensional visualization of the plant often only become doable with reasonable effort through digital engineering tools.

Norms and Guidelines

Norms and guidelines create a framework for the construction, operation, and maintenance of process plants. They describe recommended and well‑proven methods for the sizing of components and promote within the engineering of plants the harmonization of technical conventions which are used to define the requirements for single components or aggregates, as well as to verify that the requirements are fulfilled. The application of norms and guidelines simplifies the interaction and thorough alignment between the customers and the suppliers involved in a plant building project.
