Feasibility Study

Image of feasibility study.

A feasibility study investigates, whether a planned production process is physically possible, technically feasible, and economically viable. Whether it is physically possible is analyzed by means of suitable process simulations, like, among other things, an energy and mass balance. To verify the technical feasibility the expected process conditions are determined as well as the requirements for the components needed for the construction of the plant, and it is clarified, whether components that fulfil these requirements and can withstand the process conditions are practically available. To judge the economic viability, the costs for construction and operation are estimated.
