Feasibility Study

The goal of a feasibility study is to determine the requirements for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a process plant, as well as to identify the capacity and limitations of the plant.

A central part consists of the development of a process concept that is physically possible, technically feasible, and economically viable. Whether it is physically possible is analyzed by means of a process simulation, like for example an energy and mass balance. To verify the technical feasibility the expected process conditions are determined as well as the requirements for the components needed for the construction of the plant, and it is clarified, whether components that fulfil these requirements and can withstand the process conditions are practically available. To judge the economic viability, the costs for construction and operation are estimated.

We create a comprehensive and thorough feasibility study to eliminate uncertainties regarding construction, operation, and maintenance of the plant and to reduce risks related to operational safety and economic viability.
